The past few weeks been a little crazy! School is really putting a load on me this semester. God is doing some incredible things in my life right now and my time with Him has been beyond belief lately. I took my wife’s advice from a few weeks ago to “just be still” – actually I guess it was God’s advice first (Psalms 46:10) but that’s just being picky. Seriously, I have been amazed at what God does when I quit telling him all these ideas that I think are soooo great – and instead just shut my mouth. When I am just still, God reveals his thoughts and plan in the silence. It’s pretty cool.
It’s not a bad thing to have a wife as cool as mine either. I know guys in ministry who are in a constant struggle to reconcile their calling with their marriage – when he intended for the two to go together. Thankfully, by God’s grace that is not something I face. My wife is a ground for me. She is way more spiritual than I am! She is my biggest encourager, yet she never hesitates to call me to the principals office when I need it. I am very, very blessed. I know this is kind of personal, but I’m in a personal mood today (and this is myblog), but I just wanted to share with you the advice my wife shared with me, and state what an incredible gift God has given me in my wife.
