Sometimes it’s the amazingly simple tugs from God that result in the most profound works of God in our lives…if we are listening.

Talking with some friends recently, I was reminded that we all want the whirlwind experience of Job, but can easily miss the quiet whisper of Elijah.

My experience has been:

  1. When I think I have heard from God, that usually means I have.
  2. Sometimes, the harder I strain to hear, the more difficult it is to distinguish between the voices in my head.

I am going to unpack these two statements this week.  These are my experiences and your’s may be different.  My desire is that this would help someone who is seeking Him, hear clearly from God.
