Purposeful rest

I took Monday off to spend with Tabitha and the kids.  It’s something I love to do…I’m just not always good at it.  I didn’t turn the computer on all day!  We didn’t do anything all that special…we just went downtown and had a picnic and walked down the Reedy River a little ways.

We just enjoyed the day together with nothing to distract us.  Just like I love my children and treasure my time with them…God loves his children.  In fact, the Bible says in Luke 11:13 “If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!

If I get excited about an afternoon walk with my kids…how does it thrill my Father when I walk and talk with Him?

having a wife, two kids , another on the way, and being a 45-50 full time student lets you realize how much you need those days that you had yesterday. its in those times that we can thank God for a great family. Keep on holding strong for him!
