We started a new series (from LifeChurch) Sunday called “The Vow” focusing on relationships. I am deeply burdened for marriages, both present and future, in this day that we’re living where 1/2 will end in divorce.
Here are some thoughts:
- God is my #1 priority and my spouse is #2.
- Divorce is not God’s plan, but it is not the end of the world either. God is a God of Grace and he can redeem relationships a give new starts.
- Most men are willing to die for their wives, but they are reluctant to do a load of laundry or wash a dish!
- Your spouse comes before your children.
- Your spouse comes before your job.
- Your spouse comes before your ministry.
- Our schedules are the greatest reflection of our priorities.
